Let me start off by apologising for the lack of updates from us and especially me in the last few months. August was the worst month for blog quantity since we began this site in April 2009. There are two reasons for the lack of updates and the first is simply the lack of anything new (band wise) to talk about. As we have mentioned in previous posts, we started back gigging in April with eager hands/voices and soon got a little bored with our regular set. It's the longest weve ever gone without releasing something new. Because of this, we have decided to not book many more gigs until we've written album number three. As it stands, we both have a few new song ideas but nothing worth shouting about. If inspiration strikes and all is good, we should be releasing something next year. The only news worthy thing at present is our selection for 'A Mile In His Soul' soundtrack – see previous post.
The other thing stopping the updates are personal endeavours outside of BR. Michael is busy with 'The Big Comfy Bookshop' which is obviously a massive undertaking and so far seems to be doing well. As for myself, i'm exploring and experimenting with Photography and filmmaking, I have some plans and ideas of projects I would like to get my teeth in to but i'm still finding my way and learning my craft. I still have my day job so fitting everything in is a challenge. With all this going on, we are both enjoying our first year with our sons Alex (mine) & Oscar (Michael's).
So as this post is basically me spurting off excuses as to why we are not doing to much of late, let me finish with a few things that I have done this summer that are totally irrelevant and pointless for you to know
1) Did some low level Hacking and now have the US version of Netflix. For anyone using the UK version, imagine having 20 times more stuff and no longer thinking “is it worth me spending £5 a month on this”
2) Watched The Dark Knight Rises and realised that the Nolan trilogy of Batman films are the greatest collection of films ever made. Screw Star Wars, Bum-off Lord of the Rings, Swivel Potter and Bite me Dr Jones, The Bat is better than a mac dressed in a sack on a rack with blue tac.
3) I now own a Mac and think PC's and all things unMac are wrong.
4) I have found that Youtube is a place where you can get hooked when you have a big interest in Filmmaking
5) I have been quit smoking for ages (about four months ish). I'm currently going through a rough patch but staying strong
I think that's it really. I hope we can update with band news soon

It's big, it's comfy, it's not yet a bookshop
This is the technical way to take a photo

Bane was close to forfeiting Peanuts
