Our first public gig back since babies occurred at Northampton's Sunnyside. We played there last year for an all dayer and had an ok gig. The night was part of the Wildfire Sessions gigs, which we play a lot.
After planning to leave about 7pm for the drive there, the very first realisation of how much babies control our lives happened. My young 'un was not a happy chappy and I didn't leave for another hour.
We did finally leave just gone 8 and got there about 9. We played at 9.30 and played a safe 'best of set' that went down a storm. We both really enjoyed it and it was good to be in front of the public once more. Its the start of about 10 gigs now til September, then we're reassessing our schedule on gigging. We went to the venue pretty stressed, mainly about fitting Barricades Rise in our lives, but we came back determined to make it work. We're hoping to meet regularly to get some new songs sorted to make it fresh and exciting for us again.
