The Sausage (Again) Leamington 25/06/09 - Review

For the second time in two weeks we headed off to Leamington to play The Sausage, The Rasmus blaring from the car speakers (you know they are good you just can't admit it). We were on stage within 5 minutes and played an extended set. Flyers dotted the tables with a breif discription of us with words like 'Dynamic', 'Harmonious' and 'Powerful Performance'. We've always liked Dan. The pub outside was pretty full due to the glorious weather but we ended up playing to around a handful of people inside. We didn't mind though as those people in there seemed to really enjoy it, some even premeditating what song we would play next (we didn't even know what we were playing next).
It was one of those gigs where we played fairly rubbish as we broke a string (Jonathan), we stopped songs half way through (Jonathan again), downtuned the wrong strings (that one was me) and basically cocked up a lot (Both of us). As the audience seemed to warm to our performance we just mucked around, adding things left right and centre. We left the stage feeling fairly happy. The folks there we'd seen a few times at previous gigs and so we spent the rest of the evening chatting to them. All round a very enjoyable night out. And Michael Jackson died.

Tonight we're playing The Crown, Rock Against Racism and it's free.

Michael (not Jackson)
